The Ascension of Peg was the first in a series of Jigpeg sculptures and wall pieces.
110cm tall x 55cm at widest x 8cm
After seeing "The Ascension of peg" I was commissioned to make a piece based on a Tapir but they did not want it to be wall mounted or completely 3d but to sit on a window sill. So I came up with "A Tapirs Pegventure" as if the tapir was wandering through a jigsaw puzzle of Jigpegs.
60cm long x 45cm tall x 8cm deep
The brief for this commission was rather broad and varied on subject matter. It was more about what mattered to him.
50cm wide x 40cm
A comical piece which kind of harks back to a 50's style rocket ship. One could read more into it but let's just enjoy the fun.
"Pegs in space."
Another bunch of Jigpeg characters "going where no Jigpeg has gone before."
"They're Pegs Jim but not as we know 'em"
120cm tall x 75cm wide x 14cm deep
A personal piece relating to dementia. A cruel end to life.
130cm long x 60cm tall x 7cm deep
I had made a scorpion a while back. I liked the curved shape and fragile legs but at the end of this curvaceous shape comes danger in the form of a deadly sting. The kiss of death perhaps!
60cm long x 40cm wide x 45cm
I was influenced by a photo of a crab defending itself. Standing almost upright and stretching it's large claws into the air. It looked to me like it was about to do a waltz. So "Let's Dance " the crab dance was created.
75cm wide x 60cm tall x 40cm
I had been messing around with Leonardos the vitruvian man. I saw the scales of libra in the image but wanted to keep the same kind of informative text in a chalk board style tutorial. A humorous slant.
70cm diam
This is by far the largest Jigpeg piece I have made so far and was a difficult challenge.
It is influenced by the idea that humans could have evolved from amphibians, from water.
90cm tall x 55cm wide x 65cm
A Jigpeg encounter with a fascinating fish. The Tripod fish inhabit the deep Oceans some 5000 feet. They have adapted their fins to enable them to stand on the ocean floor and feed. They are hermaphroditic, possessing both male and female reproductive organs.
95cm tall x 100cm long stands on a 70cm diam plinth.
